Transitions to College

Success Boston photo 2The Transitions to College Course is designed to prepare students for the transition from high school to college and enable them to be self-sustaining, successful college students. This curriculum will focus on 4 key areas: Accessing Campus Resources; Adjusting to College Life: Time Management; Start Smart: Financial Aid; and Career Awareness. Understanding the basics of these 4 content areas are essential to the success of students in the first several weeks of transitioning to college, and the curriculum aims to develop skills such as self-advocacy, critical thinking and resourcefulness. Teachers and guidance counselors will also have the opportunity to lead workshops and share the curriculum in an effort to develop the program and grow awareness among staff and students.
